Alumni & Community Manager (f/m/d) ׀ full-time

Your New Role:
As Alumni & Community Manager (f/m/d), you will be the central contact person for our alumni network and student and wider community. You will build and strengthen relationships with our graduates, students, partner companies, and other stakeholders, ensuring that our network continues to grow and thrive.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategic responsibility and operational implementation for alumni and community management
  • Further development and maintenance of the international alumni network
  • Planning and execution of events and activities for the alumni, student, and general NIT community in close cooperation with the NIT marketing department and the program team
  • Contact person, fundraising and close cooperation with board of the NIT's Alumni & friends association commuNITy e.V.
  • Further development and maintenance of the fundraising concept
  • Responsibility for growing our donor base and strengthening ties with current supporters and partners
  • Coordination of the mentoring, buddy and host programs
  • Collaboration with the TUHH alumni network, alumni managers across Germany, and other stakeholders

What You Bring

  • You have successfully completed a university degree, ideally in business, social sciences, education, or a related field
  • You have professional experience in alumni and / or community management, ideally in a higher education environment
  • You are a strong communicator and possess a high level of empathy and understanding of people. You love to connect people and bring them together
  • You have strong organizational skills, a hands-on mindset and a fast grasp of new topics
  • You impress with your positive, friendly, open, and confident demeanor combined with a discreet and responsible handling of confidential information
  • You are highly motivated to support students throughout the entire student lifecycle and engage with a wide range of stakeholders and diverse cultures
  • You have solid communication skills in both German and English, at least at C1 level
  • You enjoy working in an international environment and thrive in a company with a start-up spirit
  • Ideally, you have additional training in coaching, training, fundraising, communication, or a related field
