Event Agenda

DAY ONE – Inspiration & Foundation

10.30-11.00 AM – Opening Ceremony: Spark the Innovation

Kick off the hackathon with a warm welcome from NiT representatives and an introduction to NiT Sparkathon 2025. We’ll unveil the hackathon’s theme, goals, and the challenges ahead, setting the stage for two days of creativity and collaboration.

11.00-12.30 PM – Tech Workshop: ESP32-S3 / TinyML

A hands-on workshop to get participants familiar with the Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32-S3 microcontroller. Learn how to set up the hardware, configure your coding environment, and integrate basic AI functionality to power your prototypes. No prior hardware experience required!

12.30-01.30 PM – Lunch Break & Networking

Recharge and connect with fellow innovators over lunch. A great time to start exchanging ideas and forming connections before team formation begins.

01.30-04.00 PM – Team Formation & Hacking Kickoff

This is where the magic starts! Participants pitch ideas, form cross-disciplinary teams, and dive into designing and building their first prototypes. Teams will brainstorm solutions, sketch out concepts, choose tech stacks, and start coding or assembling hardware.

Mentors will provide hands-on guidance, offering example ideas, product inspiration, and clear instructions on how to use the provided hardware, materials, and tools to bring concepts to life quickly.

DAY TWO – Building & Showcasing

10:00-10.30 AM – Morning Networking Coffee

Start the day with fresh coffee, light breakfast snacks, and casual networking. A perfect chance to exchange ideas, meet mentors, and get energized for the big day ahead.

10:30-12:30 PM – Final sprint: Build, Test, Iterate

Teams continue developing their prototypes, coding, testing, and refining their solutions, also team start working on their Pitch and Presentation. Mentors will circulate to provide technical help and strategic advice.

12:30-01:30 PM – Lunch Break & Mentor Chats

Take a break, recharge, and grab quick feedback from mentors before finalizing your project.

01:30-03:00 PM – Parallel Pitch Workshop

Sharpening your final pitch that can clearly explains your solution, its market potential, and real-world impact. Mentors will provide guidance and tips on storytelling and confident delivery to help teams communicate their ideas effectively.

03:00-04:00 PM – Demo & Pitching

Teams showcase their prototypes and share what they built over the hackathon. Mentors will celebrate achievements alongside participants as we close the event, recognize everyone’s effort, and enjoy a moment of community and reflection.

We'll provide the core hardware and a wide range of prototyping materials to bring your vision to life. Your challenge is to build an innovative IoT or AI-powered prototype. We'll provide core hardware, but you are welcome to bring your own materials and electrical compoents to enhance your project!
